Hello Kitty Party Ideas
Are you having a Hello Kitty party but need some inspiration for fun games and activities when the children arrive? Here are the BoxedUpParty top tips for your Hello Kitty celebration.
Hello Kitty Party Games
Hide the Bow
Print out Hello Kitty Bows or get the children to make and colour some. Hide the bows all over the party venue so the party goers can hunt them out in return for a prize or little treat.
Once they have found the bows use some double sided tape to use the bows as party badges or stick them on to hair slides or Alice bands!
Meow Cat Meow
Children sit in a circle or on chairs.
Blindfold one child and give them a cushion. Spin them around a few times, don't make them too dizzy!!
The children must sit as quietly as possible, the blindfolded player must find a child, sit on her lap with the cushion and call out 'Meow Cat Meow'.
The child makes a mewing noise and the blindfolded child then has to guess who he is sitting on.
If the blindfolded player correctly guesses whose lap she is sitting on, she changes places with her.
Continue playing until everyone has had a turn.
Famous Cat Game
There's a couple of ways to play the famous cat game. Either put pictures of famous cats up and get the kids to see how many they can recognize, or just get the kids to name as many famous cats as they can. The cat picture below can be found at galleryhip.com.
I know there has been some dispute over whether Hello Kitty is actually a cat but I don't think the kids are going to get into a big debate about it. (It might be fun if they did though!)
Cupcake Party Game
Hello Kitty loves cupcakes so why not play a game she would love. You can find it here and why not check out our other party supplies too!
Hello Kitty Says
A variation on ‘Simon Says’ but this time Hello Kitty is giving the instructions!
Use instructions like Hello Kitty says make cat noises, look super cute, pretend to take a selfie, wave your magic wand etc.
Don’t forget if Hello Kitty doesn’t say it the players shouldn’t do it and if they do they are out.
What better way to end a party than a game of musical cats. Play the music and when it stops stand still in your best cat like pose.
Hello Kitty Party Activities
For a bit of calm down time at the party why not put out some Hello Kitty colouring sheets.
This is an ideal activity to put out while the children are arriving. Find Hello Kitty colouring pages from coloring-book.info.
Make a Photo Booth
I love these ideas for making some super cute Hello Kitty memories of your special day.
Use picture frames for an easy photo booth!
Or maybe go a little further with a photo booth like this one.
Hello Kitty Birthday Cake
I discovered a great cake idea on Pinterest. The pinner hasmade a really effective birthday cake by using lots of cupcakes joined together. It's such a simple and effective idea I'm definitely going to try it.
